EXHIBITIONS

Shift, was apart from the end of year Degree show Exhibition in First Year, 2015, on Regent Street, in Leeds.

In the first year, I experimented with an array of materials and processes. Such as metal, plaster, resin etc. Within the processes of casting and welding. Through these materials and processes of casting, I was directed towards the notions of preservation. The polarities of animate and inanimate objects and narrative representations, the fragile sublime combined with toxic resin. This combination preserves the fragility of the animate yet slowly decays over time within the resin. Yet this state of preservation contradicts because the animate is a representation and

in reality is an inanimate object.

Within this exhibition, I found that others circulated around a similar theme of the animate and inanimate representations presented through the object.
