Hyper-cube
The title 'Hyper-cube' (2017) is the steel frameworks structural identity that encases a resin and concrete cast, holding a sense of isolation, similarly to the effects of the neurological disease of Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Using a post-minimalist grammar of simplicity, the cast’s concrete centre represents the process of Alzheimer’s and Dementia, of how the nucleus of long-term memory is clouded by the decline of short-term memory. This decline causes the absence of short-term memory and has been emphasised through the emptiness of transparent resin.
