AON Art Awards

My final degree show sculptures, exhibited in the Once More With Feeling exhibition were shortlisted for the AON Art Award. Through being chosen for this community award, I have had the opportunity to showcase my sculptures in the AON Leadenhall building (Cheese-grater) in London for a year.

Recently, I have donated these two sculptures to be displayed at the local Airedale hospital in Eastburn, near Keighley in Bradford, to contribute back to my community and connect with other families and patients who have family members going through Alzheimer’s and Dementia memory loss diseases. As my sculptures concept link to the weightlessness of Alzheimer's short-term memory loss and the weight of long-term memory through the material meanings of resin, concrete and steel.

The AON Art Award’s support the Alzheimer's Research Society as their sponsored charity, which has consequently led to an ongoing network relationship with the AON Art Award board.
