The post-minimalist aesthetics of this concrete cast conveys poignant weight through its materiality.

Through the process of polishing, I have exposed the rawness of concretes aggregate. This beautification of concrete links to the sublime memorial notion of death, and how death is perceived within society.

The purpose of this sculpture is to evoke the viewer to comprehend their thoughts and feelings towards the matter of death.
